Social Democratic Party of India, popularly known as SDPI, is an Indian political party founded on 21 June 2009 in New Delhi. History The organization was founded by Erappungal Abubacker from Kerala, who was arrested on charges of being the founder of the banned group Popular Front of India (PFI). He is alleged to be the mastermind behind PFI’s plan to establish an Islamic nation in India by 2047 by overthrowing the Indian Constitution. Abubacker was among the first PFI leaders arrested by the NIA during their initial nationwide crackdown on the group. The Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) was formed as the political wing of PFI.
